Chef Santosh Jori - Executive Chef, The Westin Pune Koregaon Park
The culinary spearhead of The Westin Pune Koregaon Park, Executive Chef Santosh Jori is an inspired leader, an artistic chef, a treasure trove of gastronomic knowledge and a grounded individual. He oversees the food production within the hotel while ensuring the highest quality standards. Chef Santosh’s responsibilities extend to menu engineering and maximizing food revenue whilst controlling costs and other overheads. In addition to all this, Chef Santosh also participates enthusiastically in corporate initiatives and external culinary events, as well as assists in the marketing of the food and beverage outlets.
Chef Santosh has completed the Craftsmanship Course in Food Production & Patisserie from I.H.M Mumbai and a Certificate Course in Hotel & Catering Management from I.H.M Mumbai. He is an active member of the Food and beverage Council for Asia Pacific-India Operation for Starwood Hotels. In his previous work life, Chef Santosh has worked as Executive Chef – Le Meriden Mumbai, Executive Sous Chef at the Leela Kempinski Mumbai and Renaissance hotel & Convention Center Mumbai, Chef De Partie at Ritz Carlton Hotel Dubai and the Demi Chef De Partie for Burj Al Arab Hotel Dubai.
Awards: Winner of the award BEST SOUS CHEF OF THE YEAR for 2007-08 from Star Hospitality Awards, IITM College and Upper crust Magazine. Under his able guidance, the restaurants of The Westin Pune Koregaon Park has been continuously been awarded at the Times Food Guide Awards over the years.
